There are many phrases related to numbers that are very useful to daily communication or traveling. Here is a list:

How old are you?

Informal: ¿Cuántos años tienes? (koo-ahn-tohs anios tee-eh-nehs)

Formal: ¿Cuántos años tiene? (koo-ahn-tohs aneeos tee-eh-neh)

What day is today?

¿Qué día es hoy? (keh dee-ah ehs oh-ee)

Today is June 11, 2022.

Hoy es el once de junio del dos mil veintidós. (oh-ee ehs ehl ohn-ceh deh hoo-nee-oh dehl dohs meel veh-een-tee-dohs)

What time is it?

¿Qué hora es? (keh oh-rah ehs)

It’s 2:30 PM.

Son las dos y treinta de la tarde. (or PM: peh emeh)

How many are there?

¿Cuántos hay? (koo-ahn-tohs ah-ee)

How many students are there?

¿Cuántos estudiantes hay? (koo-ahn-tohs ehs-too-dee-ahn-tehs ah-ee)

How much does it cost?

¿Cuánto cuesta? if singular. (koo-ahn-to koo-ehs-tah)

¿Cuánto cuestan? if plural. (koo-ahn-to koo-ehs-tahn)

What is today’s temperature?

¿Cuál es la temperatura hoy? (koo-ahl ehs lah tehm-peh-rah-too-rah oh-ee)

The temperature is 65 degrees F.

La temperatura es sesenta y cinco grados F. (lah tehm-peh-rah-too-rah ehs seh-sehn-tah ee ceen-coh grah-dohs eh-feh)
